Additional Interested Party

Additional Interest/Additional Interested Party, is the person or company that will be notified if your policy becomes inactive for any reason. If you received a letter rejecting your insurance policy due to not listing Additional Interested Party, please ask your Insurance Company to list your residence property as an Additional Interested Party with the address listed as RentersAIP.com and/or:
P.O. Box 3687
Coppell, TX 75019

The Additional Interest is listed, but your policy was still rejected.

If you have listed an additional interest, but your policy was still rejected, it may be because your policy does not list the Additional Interest address correctly. The amount of Liability is listed, but your policy was still rejected.

Your lease requires at least $100,000 (and in some cases $300,000) in Liability Coverage. Please make sure your policy covers the amount stipulated in your lease for Liability Coverage.

The amount of Personal Property Coverage is not listed.

There are two amounts which need to be listed on your Evidence of Insurance: Personal Property Coverage of at least $10,000 and Personal Liability Coverage of at least $100,000. If you’ve been told your personal coverage is not listed, make sure your form lists the Personal Property Coverage.

The policy does not list a resident’s name.

The policy needs to list the resident(s) being covered. Check the policy document. If it is an Acord form, the individual Resident’s name must be listed — not the business name.

The policy does not list the insured property’s address.

The policy needs to show which street address is being covered — for example, 191 Some Street Name, City, State, and Zip Code. The address may NOT list the mailing address as PO Box. Reach out to your property manager to get a street address for the property if you do not have it.

The policy does not list the name of the Insurance Company.

You may have submitted a payment receipt that does not include the agency name, agent contact information, or is not on official letterhead.

The policy is a Corporate Housing Policy.

Check the policy document. If it is an Acord form, the individual Resident’s name must be listed — not the business name.

The document received is a Payment Receipt.

A payment receipt does not list the required information, including Resident’s Name, Address, Policy Number and Dates, Liability Amount, and Additional Interested Party. Please submit a document that includes all of the required policy information.
